Students who were bright and capable would come home from school feeling lost. The classroom moved too fast, or the material felt disconnected, or they just needed someone to sit with them and work through the hard parts one step at a time.
I'm a certified teacher with a Bachelor of Education, and I've spent years working with students across elementary and high school levels. What I've learned is that most students already have what it takes to succeed in English. They just need someone who pays close enough attention to find the gap and close it.
